Ordered a Philips grill from Target.com, and they shipped it via USPS for whatever reason.

Rather than leaving my grill at the Leasing Office (I live in an apartment), they left me a little pink slip in my mailbox telling me I had a package and they would try to redeliver it, or I could come pick it up.
With my schedule, the post office is closed at any point where I have more than a few minutes of free time, so I never managed to get down there.
They leave me another pink slip that says final notice, if I don't pick up the package soon they'll return it to the sender on the 9th.
I noticed that the pink slip had a place to tell them where to leave it, so I wrote "leave at leasing office" and signed it. I left it in my mailbox on the 6th, and the next day it was gone, so I knew they took the slip.

But my grill never came, and now I got a slip saying they sent it back to target on the 9th! Grr!
Does anyone have experience with this? Can I get my grill or at least my money back from Target? Target hasn't sent me anything saying that the grill came back to them. :p

Just email Target.com ... I contacted BedBathandBeyond about a similar situation and they said they would re-send it free of charge if it ever got back to them. But UPS (not USPS) held it at their counter for a few extra days anyway.

Called target, they said "that item is no longer available."
I asked if they could just ship the same one back to me, they said they'd never be able to find it. (??)

So how is it the fault of the USPS that you didn't get your package? I don't get your point. It sounds to me like they gave you ample notice. It's not their fault if you can't pick up your package.

USPS isn't as bad as UPS, UPS continually leaves my stuff outside of my house ( i do not live in a good neighborhood), and just recently, they seem to have "left" my PS2 outside, although i have yet to see the PS2, but they claim they left it and claim i signed for it, anyone know what i can do about this, i've contacted overstock.com about it already

It's their fault because I left them the slip that they needed me to fill out, yet they did not follow the instructions on it.
It seems like it would be standard practice to leave packages at the office anyway.

It's a good thing that they don't just leave it somewhere instead of giving it to you up front isn't it...
