edit: title change
edit: yeah yeah, I know they don't count weekends...

I've been dramatically tracking this package for a week...

On August 9th it was apparently routed incorrectly, the delivery was rescheduled for the 13th (8 days?!). Status said "EXCEPTION" instead of "IN TRANSIT".

However, on the 10th, it changed back to the 12th as the delivery date and status was back to "IN TRANSIT". It said above the Middleburg Heights arrival, "9:19 A.M. SYRACUSE, NY, US IN TRANSIT TO "

So I figure it should still be on time for today.

I have no idea why the delivery is still on for today if they just left 20 minutes ago... LOL, are they flying it to make their 7 day delivery time? :p

Yeah seriously. I think I only saved 70 cents to a dollar over USPS (which recently has been getting me packages from CA in 2 days!) lol

Holy crap, they're really trying LOL. I've never gotten a package at the end of the day before, but it's better than waiting until tomorrow :)

Look at that lovely tracking info. My package is perishable. No updates since it was shipped on friday. It is supposed to get here tomorrow. I doubt it though. Crappy UPS tracking information and shipping

Well...MSI shipped a replacement motherboard last week on 8/8, it's suppose to arrive on 8/15. Except that they shipped it Fedex Ground...it moved around in CA, but is still there I guess, no update on tracking since 8/9.

Still waiting for my Microsoft replacement Intellimouse Explorer...it was shipped 8/8 USPS...*sigh* probably media mail.

Still waiting for my books from Barnes and Noble, shipped 8/9 USPS, probably via Media Mail. :(

My newly ordered book from buy.com just shipped, 8/12 USPS, confirmed media mail :(

I bought a cd on half.com, don't know if it shipped yet, but it's being shipped USPS media mail :(

I shipped a defect PSX Controller-PC USB adapter via USPS Priority mail, it's going down the east coast, shouldn't take more than a few days. I hope the label from the post office is pretty clear. Imagine my shock if it being treated as media mail.

Still waiting to find out if a NIC I bought on the FS/FT forum has shipped yet.

I'm leaving home for the fall semester on the 31st. I hope I manage to get some of this stuff before then.

*sigh*

Is this a package you've sent or a package that is being sent to you? If you think UPS tracking is bad, have you seen that worthless joke of tracking that the USPS has? You may not like it, but UPS has the best tracking system out there.

ARGH it's not here.

I waited this whole day out.

I hate UPS :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

edit:

Powermac4ever:

UPS's online tracking is only about as good as Fedex (non-ground)'s tracking.

Except that UPS ground from the west coast is about as slow as Fedex ground is about as slow as USPS media mail.

Fedex Express saver would have been here last Wednesday, USPS Priority would have been here by last Tuesday/Wednesday.

*sigh*

USPS is not guaranteed, Its a "best guess".

They call it 2-3 day Priority Mail for a reason. They average 2-3 days. I've had all my priority stuff from anywhere in the US arrive in 2-3 days. At any rate, 2-3 days estimate is faster than UPS ground taking their time :(

brtspears2: You get what you pay for. If you wanted something quick, you pay up for the goods.
No argument, if I wanted it quick I would have paid for overnight. I just wanted it on time like the UPS transit time calculator said, like tracking info said for a week until the 9th when UPS screwed up routing.

Anyways, it's been rescheduled for tomorrow.

Guess I'll get some sleep now, but I was up the entire freaking day pretty much 5am-past 12am waiting for that damn package that tracking convinced me would be here. If they had the sense of mind to catch their screwup and reschedule the delivery earlier I wouldn't be so PO'd.

*sigh*

It's a shame that UPS doesn't count weekends. It would have been past 7 days. I only wish I could hold their transit time calculator against them.

Heh this thread's been fun though, rant rant rant :) good for the stress management.

Averages are exactly that. Averages. If you REALLY want it, call or visit your local center at 8 AM and pick it up yourself.
