Same $/GB, used versus new...

Unless you *really* need the extra 50GB of space, I'd get the new drive. I'd be wary of buying any used HD, except *maybe* a factory reconditioned drive with full warranty.
 
Well, I guess, but I'm not too sure if the other one has 3 year.

I could really use the extra space though. So I guess that's two plusses.

I definitely wouldn't buy *any* drive with a 1-year warranty, new or used, unless the price was insanely good ($.40/GB is good, but not that good).
