I moved to a new apartment (Wisconsin) about two weeks ago. Since that time I have killed about half a dozen spiders inside. Last night I was awake in bed until about 2am and killed two crawling along the wall (most seem to be small solid black spiders). Sunday I killed two crawling across my desk. The entire building is only 2-3 years old and all the windows are sealed. The *only* way I can see them getting in/already being inside is if they are crawling in somewhere with the baseboard heating.

To note, I have seen one tiny beetle type bug in here and that is it.

*starting to get annoyed*

I bought some kinda powder at the dollar store that seems to be pretty effective in getting rid of them and keeping them away.

Having them fvcking crawling on your face at night is NOT cool.

LOL....

Suffering from a little arachnidphobia are we??

I feel your pain. I remember pulling my bed spread on my bed back one night getting ready to lie down and my SO saying "look honey, theres your bed buddy"! I looked down and there was this big black spider crawling across the bed sheet right where I was getting ready to lay down..!

Since then I have tried real hard to learn to just get along with them. Now I'm doing my best to overcome my fear of bees and wasps!

Get a cat, ASAP...

Before cat, I would see 10-12 spiders a month.

Post cat, i've seen 3 in the past 4 years.

Works on crickets and most other bugs too.

Yay for little furry death machines.

Ugg I used to kill multiple Earwhigs a night in my room in a house I used to live in. That sucked real bad. Even though you know they don't hurt you, those little pincers looked bad.

Woo for cats. Their deadly doings prevent interaction with the bug-like creatures.
