you sure changing the showerheads will do it? Sounds to me like the problem is lies with the amount of pressure going through the pipes.

In gallons per minute? I just use the cheapo chrome ones, saves water, and has adequate flow, but not the full pressure blast of the massager types. Your situation could also be due to water pressure in the hosehold.

"Low flow? I don't like the sound of that."
- Kramer, in "The Shower Head"

"You see this? Any thought pops into their head, they're calling me because it's a local call now. I'm used to a 1200-mile buffer zone. I can't handle this. Plus, I've got the dinners, I've got the pop-in's. They pop-in! It's brutal."
- Jerry, about his parents, in "The Shower Head"

"If I don't have a good shower, I am not myself. I feel weak and ineffectual. I'm not Kramer."
- Kramer, in "The Shower Head"

"If you could perhaps conduct the psychopath convention down the hall..."
- Jerry, to his parents and the Costanzas, in "The Shower Head"

"I just took a bath, Jerry. A bath!"
"No good?"
"It's disgusting. I'm sitting there in a tepid pool of my own filth. All kinds of microscopic parasites and organisms having sex all around me."
- Kramer and Jerry, in "The Shower Head"

"Now here's the lowdown. Through a certain connection, I've been able to locate some black market shower heads. They're all made in the former Yugoslavia. And from what I hear, the Serbs are fanatic about their showers."
"Not from the footage I've seen."
- Newman and Jerry, in "The Shower Head"

I don't need one of those fancy massage showerheads ... just one of the regular ones would do, just need it to be really strong =)

that's the other thing ... once I get the #'s for the flowrate of a good showerhead, then I'll know if the problem at the house is a pressure thing or it's a showerhead thing ... I think ours is like 2.5gallons/min. (from memory) =)

I think most showerheads flow between 2.5 to 4 gpm. I would think that how "hard" the water feels when it comes outta the showerhead would have to do with the size and number of holes in the shower head.

Get a Teledyne Waterpik. You can remove the restrictor in them. They also seem to pretty durable.

Sometimes mineral deposits can cause low flows in showerheads. Try dipping the thing in CLR and see if it helps, we had the same problem and that fixed it.

I had 2.5G/M heads on my showers. I just basically unscrewed the head, reached inside with a needle nosed pliers and pulled out the flow regulator. Now I've got a torrential downpour in my shower. Too bad the hot water runs out in like 15 mins.

Mine is a water cannon. I run out of hot water though in less then 10 minutes. Have to fix that or get a bigger tank.o_O.

There may be a pressure reducing valve (PRV) on the water line coming into the house. This may have to be turn up to increase pressure.

Water pressure could be low in the house (dont know the tech. details). Thats what it is here, and we have the heads that you can screw tighter to close the opening and the water is forced out harder. Its still not much water, but it eliminates the feeling of getting pee'd on.
