New Dell laptop yesterday for some reason unbeknownst to me, IE8 just crapped out on me - when I start it it just sits there for a minute then I get the ol' "(not responding") in the top bar. I go to the task manager and click end task, a box appears giving me a few choices such as just close the program, or "Let Windows search for a solution and close the program". I of course select that and IE closes. I start it back up and the same thing occurs again. Luckily I have FF on here and that works fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.....

Have you tried disabling add-ons? Does it work if you go to Accessories / System Tools / Internet Explorer (no add-ons)?

Yes, thanks that does work, however when I disable the only add on I've added - Adobe Flash Player - it still does the same thing when I try to start it up normally again....

Have you updated Flash? Do you have Java installed? Make sure you select "All Add-ons" when going through the Manage Add-Ons dialog.
