I always get into "near accidents". Its amazing how people reverse the roles of the Stop and Yield signs. They stop at Yield signs and vice versa. Everyone always trys you beat you, especially during a merge - like I have a choice, its either stay in lane or plow into that cement divider. The best is when you pull to the side to let the on-coming traffic through, and the fool behind you cuts both cars off. Because of these idiots, we have to pay high insurance. God forbid you get home from work at 6:02 instead of 6:00.

Ya know, that's what Yield signs are for. You are SUPPOSED to STOP at them when their is traffic, and then you go. If there is no traffic, you simply slow down and look.

This is why we have wrecks, you don't even know the most basic of sign functions. People assume you are supposed to just keep moving and slow dowd at Yields, or ignore them altogether

Get your panties out of bunch and re-read what he wrote slowly. You went off on a rant on him and he didn't even say what you accuse him of saying.

I am constantly irked by people who stop at yields when there are no cars coming and who roll right through stop signs without even looking.
Which is what kevin000 was referring to.

I was in a car with a friend today when it got rear ended. The other driver was a young girl ... that was looking for something on her purse when she hit us. Felt a strong backlash with my neck ... put it's nothing more than a headache. It sucks when, even taking as much care as possible, you can't say the same for the other driver.

Too many people learn the safety material so they can pass a test and get behind the wheel, not so that they will drive safely. I've found that many people seem to exist in their own tiny worlds when they drive. Often, that little world is only the size of the car, though in some rare cases, that world can actually extend to include events unfolding within a few feet outside of the car. Otherwise, stay out of their way, because they're more important than you.
(I've never been in an accident yet; only been driving about 2-3 years now - here's hoping.)
