Yeah that incessant clicking from my zip drive. I've tried two different disks and the same deal. Is the media bad or is it the actual drive? This is hecka annoying.
 
It's probably the drive. Go to Iomega page and download their utility to find out if the drive is bad or not.
 
You might find this link interesting. There is also a small program to test all your zips and jaz cartridges,as well as what you can do about it.
 
call Iomega support...let them listen to the click...they will replace your unit....you can find out more about this from the link Staver gave...
i got mine replaced just few weeks ago...🙂
 
I read through that link and I guess I don't have click of death after all? Apparently only one of the disks causes clicking, but I specifically remember that disk was mangled by another zip drive that also clicked. I tried another disk and copying/reading data through out the disk doesn't cause clicking. Man this is so confusing.
