argh, how do i disable this in firefox

So after upgrading from 1.5 to 2.0 everything seems to be working fine. Except for the annoying habit where if I type a URL too fast in the address bar it opens up a new tab. As in, if the current tab is loading a URL, typing a new URL opens up another window. I'm one of those ADD type surfers and constantly retype URLs before they're done loading (after I can see it hasn't been updated). This is really annoying. Anyone know how to disable this stupid feature?
