Cold front is coming through, we're in IFR conditions so no flying today or tomorrow.

I have lots of chores to do and I don't wanna do any of them. :)

Here is the current DFW METAR:
KDFW 152156Z 15012KT 2 1/2SM BR OVC006 07/06 A3014

Grumble...

i have a friend that is trying to log all her hours to be a commercial pilot. I hate pilot jargon.

True, but the 407 has limited anti-ice installed (the 206BIII does not).

I wouldn't fly either anywhere near ice... But at 44 degrees out, ice is just not a factor.

Some companies use it, some don't. Funny, our insurance requires that all pilots be instrument rated and the aircraft be IFR certified, yet our company policy is to not fly in IMC.

Yeah, I find flying in the winter a real pain too. Ever tried to land a plane on an icy runway with an inch of ice on your wings? Real fun.

Actually I have to go out this weekend for dry suit instruction class this weekend. I'm the dive master for this class, so I'll end up getting wet helping the students - before I put on my suit.

bleegh. cold and wet.

That's why choppers suck...can't use IFR...they're pretty much useless! Go get a Cessna...better yet get the new plane that has a parachute so if there's any mechanical failure, just shut it off, let the plane fall and deploy the BigChute (slows impact speed to a mere 20mph!!!)

Once again, I opened my big mouth before reading all the posts. Okay, good, choppers can use IFR, they're not useless after all...its only your company's policy that's kinda irksome...
