Man, this is annoying. In the past week or so, I've developed some really righteous razor bumps on my throat. I mean, I had gotten them occasionally in the past, but these are worse, and I can't get rid of them.

I've been trying this stuff called Bump Off, which worked in the past, but these won't go away. They just get slightly less bumpy after application. I tried letting my beard grow, and they didn't really subside, and I tried shaving daily, which only resulted in them getting sliced off, and then irritated the next morning when the hair grows in again.

They don't seem to be going away by themselves. I really dunno what to do.

My sister told me that stuff called Tend Skin or whatever is supposed to work wonders. Maybe I'll try that. That, or if there's a hair removal product you can use on your neck, I'll try that. Anything to get these things gone.

Go to Bath and Body Works and get some of their men's shaving gel. It's $5 a tube and it's an all-out CURE for razor burn. Comes in 4 scents too :) You'll thank me after you try it!

You don't use Barbasol, do you?

I used to get them BAD when I used that crapola, invest in some nice gel.

You're talking about using a blade right, I get those only when I use my electric. My Mach 3 doesnt irritate them at all.

Thanks bridgen. I tried to search for "razor" yesterday, but the forums were so messed up it would never go through. I actually use the Neutrogena Razor Defense products already. I picked up some Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel yesterday, which is also supposed to be good, but I'm not shaving again until my beard grows in enough to get rid of the bumps.

Unfortunately, growing a full beard isn't an option for me because of work, so I have to find another way to combat this. :(

And can you really wax your neck? If so, I'm all over it. Do I have to go somewhere to get it done?

i've greatly reduced my razor burn (was very bad) by using a Mach 3 Power and applying vitamin A&D ointment immediately following every shave.

try these products by philosophy - The Common Man or Razor Sharp

the first one numbs your skin while you shave and has a bunch of other stuff in it and it felt good after shaving my face

razor sharp is good and i do get a much closer shave w/ it and it doesnt bother my skin at all afterwards

Yep, they have a small line of mens only shaving products. My dad's face would break out all the time from shaving and this cured it. He keeps 5-6 tubes in the bathroom now :) Makes for an easy Christmas present!

I bought a giant bottle of Trend Skin (60 ounces I think) about 8 years ago, and it still works great! I wouldn't buy a 60 ounce bottle again though, go with a smaller one. After 8 years, I'm only about a third of the way through the bottle, LOL.
