I've got win98se on the first partition ( c: ) en win2k on the second ( d: ). But I had to install win98se again. So I formated c: and installed win98se. I thought that I could boot to win2k again with using the win2k cd, boot from it, and repair installation. But because he misses some files on c: he can't repair it anymore.

Is there anyway to boot win2k again without installing it again?

I can logon into win2k using the recovery console, can I do anything with this?

Plz help me out!!

You lost the NT MBR, which can be fixed with recovery console. You also lost essential NT C:\ files when you formatted C: - ntldr, ntdetect.com, boot.ini, bootsect.dos, which you could have saved, before you formatted, and later copied back to C:\. You can copy these files from another w2k installation - the boot.ini file will likely require some editing to work on your system. Or, to fix all of it you can do a repair reinstall by opening win98, navigating to the i386 directory on the w2k cd, and running winnt32.exe.

A repair installation doesn't work, if I try to run it it says that it can't find a win2k installation.....
