ok, i need help, this is starting to piss me off seriously, i don't know what's going on, but i've formatted the drives each like 3 to 4 times and run chkdsk on them about 2 or 3 times each.. but i STILL! GET THose damn CRC errors, this is seriously getting to me.. i must figure this one out, i don't want to RMA both my HDs, because i DOUBT that is the problem, i had this problem like 3 months ago, but i fixed it by switching out the IDE cable, and formating, but now it's doing it again!! PLEase oh PLEASE give me some suggestions of what to do, and where to go with this

Formatting won't do anything so don't bother. You have some sort of hardware problem. You already tried the cable so it much be either the drive or the MB. Most likely the MB since both HD's have the problem.

Are you overclocking your FSB? If so, some MB's don't have PCI clock locking so that may be your problem.

Try using your HD's individually also. One of them may be shorting the IDE bus or something.

when I got crc errors, my problem was my ram. Maybe in addition to testing your harddrives you should run memtest86 to make sure the ram isnt the culprit.
