Argghggh loud fans, help!

So I bought an Asus A8N MB and an Asus 6600GT about 2 or 3 months ago. Both fans are already whining and it's really annoying. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

there are 2 versions of this board. the earlier ones had noisey fans.

You can get a Papst 40mm fan from EndPCNoise, and just replace the old fan.

they wouldn't fit i dont think. could make some sort of coned tunnel i suppose, maybe.

Read the big "A8N-SLI Chipset Fan Replacement" thread in the Mobos section - apparently it does fit.

Here's a deluxe solution for the Asus motherboard: Swiftech MCX159-A I like the attachment system: standoffs mount in the motherboard holes and then you can screw the compression screws down into them, like ye olde Alpha PAL8045.
