Won't fix it, or won't fix it for free?

Most businesses won't honor warranties on products from eBay, since no one selling on eBay is an authorized retailer. The people selling on eBay must've acquired the good from an authorized retailer at some point, and that's when the warranty period started.

Most warranty clauses disallow warranty transfers, and that's where companies get off voiding the warranty on secondhand goods. Some states do not allow that practice, however. You'd have to Google your consumer protection laws. Of course, that would only apply if the business had a presence in your state.

Hell they really shouldn't care. These days I'm thinking ebay would be better. Cingular has sent me two used, supposed to be new, fvcked up phones.......... of course I have to go through them and not SE for replacements.

I know it's their "policy" not to cover, but IMO that's just a stupid reason for them to avoid fixing a $500 phone.

. They won't fix it for free
. It's a recharging problem (won't fully charged, battery life only half of what it's suppose to be)
. Already flash it to the newest firmware
. Already try a new battery
. THey ask for proof of purchase that was why I have to tell them it was from ebay

My T610 had a charging problem. I replaced the battery, no go. Replaced the charger, works perfectly now.

You might want to buy a charger nib for any old Nokia chargers you have lying around. They're a few bucks and convert a Nokia charger into an SE charger (or any other combination), and the Nokia chargers seem to be more robust. No adverse affects after a year or so of use.

Eh, you live and learn, should've bought it from a local retailer.
