Seen on TV, they said something about guards are still not properly trained. What is it going to take to get some good airport security! :|

They were underpaid to begin with... because they weren't high quality...?

How much d'ya think they're getting paid? Not a terribly exciting job either, I suppose.

when I was at Logan on November 21, guard was sitting almost falling asleep but on other hand in JFK was very tight, airport police in pairs all over the place walking, national guard, security does handsearches as soon as person rings through metal detector, when you get to the gate to check in American airlines in jfk ask 20 random people from the flight to come in special room for another search and dont let those passengers board.

The Aviation Security Association reports that even in the airport that services our Nation?s capitol city, Dulles Airport, 72 percent of the screeners are not even US citizens -taken from a Cnn article.

We will have to pay alittle more to get proper qualified and better security people. Safe airline traveling will cost alittle more when the government takes over from these privately contracted security firms.
