I'm playing time trials on the Mediterranean SS-1 track, and pulled off good run at 1:26.68 (Lancer Evo VI) ... Since then, I must have retried 50 times and lost every time by 3 or more seconds. Arg, that first hard left turn over the bridge almost always costs me a good chunk of time, around 1 second longer then my fastest run. Maybe I need to unlock the faster cars! 
Well somebody beat my time (same car) to prove that it's possible, cuz right now things are looking grim.
edit: woohoo! I just had an even better run. We're talking 125:53, over a second faster then my last time.
*sigh* now to beat 125:53!
... I bought the game yesterday and have a feeling it won't get old for a very long time. Awesome game for 25 clams.
