arg.. I wish google maps would give the option to avoid highways

Since I'm normally riding the bike, I try to avoid the highways.. backroads are more fun.. mapquest lets you avoid highways or take shortest distance - I wish google had this..

They are probably working on it.

I never trust the map software to plan my route. Always seems to pick the crappiest way.

Google Maps is much worse than Mapquest anyway. Google often doesn't recognize a location. Try entering a city as your end point.
