Arg - How Do I Speak to The Car Dealership?

I'm trying to get a price quote on 10-15 cars (groupbuy), but every dealership I call, I get stuck with the sales rep babbling on.

I would kindly ask for the person that can give me a price quote, but the greedy sales rep would tell me how MSRP is the best way to go..

How do I go about skipping to the manager? Is the one that can make a difference in the price called Fleet Manager?

use the fax attack.. State in the fax that you are lookingfor a quote and that you are inquiring multiple dealership nearby for the same item. sent the fax to multiple dealerships.

Are you talking to car sales reps ? or Fleet managers ?

Talk to fleet managers if you haven't already or call/email the car mfg headquarters for direction to a rep in your area dealing with fleet sales.

Fleet managers and faxing as everyone suggested are probably your best bet.
If the dealership has an internet leads manager you can fire off an e-mail to them too.

I like fleet managers.

The last one I talked to was so desparate to get me to buy an '04 mustang when I went in asking about an 05 late last spring that he said "pick any mustang on this lot and let's go for a test drive, I want you to be sure what you're walking away from"

Convertable 04 Mustang GT = hot

Check this site out. How to buy a car

Here are some of my personal tips:

1)ALWAYS pay from the dealer cost + a small markup, NEVER start from the MSRP/sticker price and negotiate down.

2) Never fall in love with a car, be prepare to walk away from it.

3) Treat the buy the car, trade, and finance as THREE SEPARATE transactions. Do not let the dealer combine them together.

PM me if you need any more help. GL.

You need to speak to the Fleet manager. If it's for Chevrolet, PM me. My wife is a Fleet Manager.

there is no need to talk to anyone. do it all by fax as others have written. you know what you want, it's up to them to provide the best price. period.

I doubt any dealership would take a fax asking for a quote on 15 vehicles, seriously.
