Tried quiting my morning coffee for 3 months last year. I was pissed off all day everyday and the headaches never stopped. I'm back to my 2 cup per day ritual now and things are all good again.

I was getting that over the summer and it pissed me off, like it's up to me to decide when I have coffee, it isn't up to the freakin' coffee! I quit for a few months.

its just an addiction to caffeine, your body craves it when you dont get it. I have an expresso machine to and typically have 3-4 cups a day...I am having one right now..lol

I'm having that withdraw right now. My gf and I love coffee so we always go coffee shops. My gf left town this week, and i'm too lazy to go to coffee shop. I've been yawning for 2 days straight. I got 10 hours of sleep too. :(

Two shots as in two doubles, or just one double? You're likely pushing close to 1000mg a day depending on roast, bean, etc.

I drink 2 or 3 doubles a day, but no more.

Actually, it's likely only about 4oz total volume :D

one double in the morning and a double in the evening.

at the coffee shop, i was usually getting triple machiattos (3 shots, with some milk foam).

with finals last week, i was drinking even more to stay alert.

Bah, that's not bad at all then :D The afternoon triple likely pushes you over a threshold of abuse, but if it's only occasional...

yeah that's about what I remember. I hardly ever have headaches, and waking up every morning with one just pissed me off and set the tone for the day

but it ends eventually

3 days at most.

I used to get caffine withdrawal on Sundays as I don't drink coffee outside of work. Usually lasts 24 hours once they start, and aspirin or any other pain releiver simply DO NOT WORK

I got those for awhile. They wear off if you take a week's vacation from caffine... or at least, they did for me.

Yeah I think you should quit... It's hard, but worth it. People can exist without caffeine.

Why not try some good coffee, roasting your own is pretty easy and can be done with minimal investment. 99% of coffee shops that I've been to can't even come close. Of course I use an espresso machine (sylvia), press pot, and moka pot for a nice variety.

caffeine is great for curing mild headaches... never thought about it the other way around.

Excedrin will take care of that headache. Of course, it contains caffeine :p.
