For our anniversary this year, I got my wife the present of baby. At first it seemed the perfect gift, I even enjoyed the making of it. But now I realize it's the gift that keeps on costing, both money and time and sanity. Soon I will be changing my gift's diapers at 3am, feeding it at 5am, and wiping my gift's vomit off my shoulder 24/7.

Do your girlfriend a favor and give her a REAL gift, the gift of you having a vasectomy.

PS:

This post was in no way approved by or sanctioned by my wife. When discovered, it is very likely I'll have my TV priviledges revoked for at least a week, and be forced onto baby diaper duty for a solid month, starting in June when the baby is born.

It sucks being in a relationship. I could have freakin' bought the Brooklyn Bridge if I had used the money spent on her in the past two months on myself.

Anyways, thats besides the point. Our 2 year anniversary is in about a month, and shes already talking about how excited she is to give me the present she got. I've put thought into what I should get for her, but I'm pretty much stuck. I'm trying to get something not too expensive, between $50-$100.

For the record, I'm 16.

I've already gotten her a engraved bracelet, a necklace, a stuffed animal, and a mix CD, plus other small things I'm likely forgetting.

Any advice would really be appreciated, as I've reached a dead end.

Two years? So youve been going out since you were 14?

Make an apointment for you two to get your pictures taken together(Someplace real, dont have your friend take them), then take her out to dinner/movies/shopping/wheverthehellshewantstogo.

Edit: Just one of many suggestions, if youve been going out for two years you should know what to get her, unless your one of those shallow guys who are terrible at giving gifts.

Uh, WTF? Yeah, I don't know what to get for my girlfriend, so I must be a shallow guy. STFU, troll.

Im not a troll, your the one who has known her for 2 FRICKEN YEARS, you should know what to get her. Come on dude, your asking for girl advice on a computer forum, how can you say you arent shallow?

Are you fvcking kidding me? What does me posting on a computer forum about some advice have anything to do with me being shallow? Do you know what shallow means?

"lacking depth of intellect or knowledge; concerned only with what is obvious; "shallow people"; "his arguments seemed shallow and tedious"

Yeah, I'm COMPLETELY shallow because I'd like to make my girlfriend happy, and asking some other guys (and girls) for some advice as to what I should get her for our anniversary.

No, you're shallow because you came to an online mesasge board and posted about how tough you have it, having to always spend money on your 16-year-old grilfriend, and how being in a relationship "sucks" due to not being able to buy yourself cool stuff instead.

Here's to hoping that cute girl dumps your lame ass and starts fvcking the jock that keeps shoving you into the locker.

Cheers!

Real mature. It's called exaggerating. If I really hated the relationship, don't you think I would have broken it off ;)? The point I was trying to make is that I don't really like buying gifts.

Trust me, your girlfriend would rather that YOU picked out a gift by yourself based on how much you know her, even if the gift sucked, than have you go on a forum and have someone tell you what to get. Because if she just wanted a good gift she would have given you gift ideas.

Lola

I'm not asking people to TELL me what to get. I'm asking for suggestions. You know, I'm sure she would rather have me choose something based on how well I know her, but I want to make sure she loves it, and I'm doing everything I can to make sure that she does. If that includes asking others for suggestions, then so be it. Theres no point arguing.

O Rly? You mean you haven't actually spent the hundred of millions of dollars that you could have use to purchase a bridge on your 16yo girlfriend? GTFO!

Depends on the quality and frequency of the almighty 'poon.

The point I was trying to make is that I don't really like buying gifts.
Then don't. Problem solved.

My girlfriend, being as most girls are, enjoys receiving gifts. Therefore, "sacrifices" are made, and because she enjoys it, I do it. Not everyone gets their way.

Oh, and would your opinion change if I told you that she lived an hour away, and I see her about once every two weeks? Yeah, I TOTALLY stayed with her for two years just to get ass .

This entire thread pretty much has steered clear of the OP, but whatever.
Neither of us have a car (license at 17 in NJ), so taking the train is the only real option at this point, and it takes 3 hours each way, plus $20 roundtrip, hence we can't see eachother as much.
About collage, we're realistic, and we realize that we most likely will not be together during college. We aren't planning our college lives based on us being together. We're planning on going to colleges we want to go to, wherever they may be. Even so, we still have 2.5 years until college.
