As title. I'm trying to find a mobo like that. But most of them I've found are using DDR. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I don't remember the maker but there is a board that supports ddr and sdram. I don't think it is the kt133a chipset though.

Ok, I must say I'm a little confused by the title, but anyway, yeah there are planety of KT133A motherboards with support for Sdram, in fact, all KT133A motherboards only support Sdram. If you want a motherboard that doesn't offer any better performance with DDR and Sdram dims, look into the A7A266, well I can't say no performace gain, but it is minimal, especilly Seeing how it's running on the Ali chip.

I believe you must be confused as the Via KT133A chipset does not support DDR SDRAM, all KT133A boards support SDR SDRAM.

Could you please clarify what it is your asking?

May be you are confused by the 266 fsb thing..Thats ok. ALL kt133a boards use SDRam.

the mobo you might be thinking about is the Asus A7A 266 based on an ALi chipset.. (not sure out the name of chipset..). It supports both SDR and DDR and is said to be the "most versatile" mobo on the market, according to box...

Sorry to cause the confusion here pple. But I've gone through a lot of Socket A mobos that are available in my place and most of them here are based on the KT133 chipset. Only 1 or 2 are based on the KT133A chipset and they're DDR-ed. So I'm just wondering if there are any KT133A based mobo which only has SDR RAM support.

DocZauis: Thanks for the link. Checking it now.

Rand: Hmm.. That's odd. I'm quite certain that the mobo that I saw on the list supports DDR RAM (KT133A)

No KT133A motherboard supports DDR ram, come on. There are very many KT133A motherboards out there. AZ11E, KT7A, A7V133, K7Tturbo, KK266, KV7A or something and many others. Look around, they even have a roudup here. Jeez.

Don't tell other people to cool it when you obviously didn't bother reading all of the replies that had already been posted.

ALL KT133 and KT133A-based motherboards use SDR - they are incapable of using DDR. DDR chipsets include the AMD 760 and the VIA KT266.

uhg i think your getting confused because those motherboards have ddr bus, but they dont use ddr ram
like was said above, kt133 and kt133a all use pc133 ram, and none of them use ddr ram
its not uncommon to see a kt133a board advertised as ddr, but its not refering to the ram it uses

Thanks hansXP, I just kind of was mad because I practically said the same thing in my first post. Sorry if I got a little Angry, but no KT133A motherboards support DDR ram, they support the 266 Fsb Athlons, so call it DDR if you want, the Cpu that is, but no DDR ram.

I know man, it seems like half the people around here don't bother reading what you write :(

I did and I do read what pple write. But I was very certain I saw DDR RAM support for those mobos that are on the price list from a shop. The specs I got was from the mobo manufacurer's web site. Perhaps it was late in the morning; but now I've found the exact specs.

Thank you all for helping.
