just moved out on my own. wanted the butcher at Albertsons to grind some steak for me but was told they didn't have a grinder small enough for the 2lbs i had.

i always remember my mom getting steaks/meats ground up at the supermarket. when'd they stop doing that.

useless supermarket butcher.

It's Albertsons. You can't go into one of these big grocery chains and expect service. Their whole "butcher shop" is a front. I know. I used to work at Publix and my bro works at Albertsons. You need to go to a REAL grocery store. Like in Tampa, I have a Cacciatore Bros two blocks from the house. They'll cut or grind whatever I want.

It's like the difference between going to a bike shop for a bicycle and Walmart.

I know someone who worked at a butcher shop. They typically get runny nozes working in the meat locker, and it drips onto the product. It may be an industry wide problem. If you want it done right, do it yourself.

Plus it will pay for itself the first time you get rid of a pesky neighbor.
