I dont get it ... does it really matter where you buy your Piii's?

I want to buy one. (and oc it)

I was just going to buy the cheapest one I could find....

Where can I find an Alpha PC-PAL35?

It can matter because not every vendor carries the newer cb0 steppings.
The best price I found for one was at Google Gear for like $190 or something. I got mine from there and it will overclock to 966mhz @ 1.7 volts. It can go higher but I need 1.85 volts which is higher than I care to go for 33 more mhz. I also use an Alpha pal35t.

I think that 2cooltek has your alpha in stock still but I'm not sure.

Some P!!! 700s are wrapped in a Golden Ticket! If you are the holder of a Golden Ticket, then you can get a tour of the Intel factory! Just don't be greedy, because if you do, you won't get to take a trip with Andy Grove in the glass elevator!

LMOA .... (i remember Willy Wonka)

Ok ... I'm going to Google ... seen alot of votes for this place, to get the Piii.

Just curious though ... If I get a 733 @ 133 (similiar price) ... can I expect the same results when OCing it ....?

Nope....since the mutliplier is locked, you have less viable FSBs to play with over 133MHz. A P3-700 @ 140FSB = 980MHz, P3-733 @ 140FSB = 770MHz....

Better speeds are attainable with the P3-700E.
