I may watch, but don't have it scheduled.

My sole AFL experience: a friend gave me two tickets on the first row on the midfield line (the 25???) for the Georgia Force a couple of years ago. I took my son who was 4 at the time. He loved all the theatrics involved, like the fireworks before the game, the guys that bungeed down from the ceiling, etc. When a ball goes into the stands, you can keep it, so there is quite a scramble when it happens. The Force QB overthrew his receiver and it went right for my son. The security guard instinctively reached for it and deflected it toward my son's feet. I reached down for it, but was a bit slow and somebody else got it. When I got up, my son was crying. I thought I had hurt him when I reached over him and felt horrible. A couple of minutes later the lady behind me said, "Didn't you see what happened? A guy about 5 rows up dove down for the ball and kicked your son. The police took him away in handcuffs!" Then the camera showed my son on the big screen and he couldn't help but smile for the camera (as the crowd applauded). One of the bungee guys came down from the ceiling and gave him a t-shirt, a lady behind us bought him some Skittles, and the owner of the team came over to see if he was okay. The person who got the ball gave it to him after all. He felt like a rock star.

So the AFL has a warm spot in my heart.
