Hi Everyone:
I'll just jump right in: I'm running an ARC-1882ix-16 and have a 12 HDD RAID6 array (RAID Set #001) and a 3 HDD RAID5 array (RAID Set #000). Eveything's been running peachy for about two years, until this morning when one of the RAID5 disks failed. I pulled the bad drive and replaced it with a new one: the rebuild started up automatically and seemed to be working, but I noticed that the RAID storage manager now shows that I have 2 RAID Set #000's. One of them looks normal: the set consists of three HDD's (as it should), but the other RAID Set #000 shows only a single HDD in Slot2 (the same one that failed). What's even stranger (to me) is that the HDD in Slot2 is now flagged as free, even though it is apparently in the process of taking part in the rebuild!
I'm a bit concerned about the situation, and will be grateful if anyone here can tell me the proper course of action to sort this out.
Thanks in advance,
Turtleman
