areca raid card memory

So I'm looking at grabbing one of these cards, but had a question about the memory for it. I want to max it out to 4GB because my distributor doesn't have the model with 4GB from the factory. Looking at the spec sheet, it only says it's ECC but does not mention if that included fully buffered (FB) or not. Anybody with experience with these cards? I typically buy them with the memory included, but don't have that luxury this time.
