There's no way to prove with absolute certainty that something does not exist, so people who have a vested interest in believing that something does exist will always do so.
UFO conspiracy theories are a fantastic example of an unfalsifiable hypothesis: if government says nothing, then they exist and the government is covering it up. If the government says anything at all, then they exist and the government is trying to cover it up but failing to do so perfectly. And, of course, if the government says they exist and shows the evidence, then we would all agree that UFOs exist.
Beware of any theory that is deemed correct whether it's supported by absolute no evidence or tons of evidence or anything in between.

It's always been visible via satellite imagery, and it was a pretty known fact it was some kind of airport/aircraft testing centre. Now they just confirmed it. Of course there's always the chance that there's more to it, the US government likes hiding stuff from it's people.

I always figured the alien stuff was just to mask what was really going on, figured it was something bigger.

The real "Area 51" is somewhere else deep under mountain caverns. The one currently shown as Area 51 in Groom Lake is just the public/high security face. Where do you think $$ billions disappear for all those Black Projects. ^_^

A51 has always existed. Its alleged alien tech holdings otoh, have only existed in deranged imaginations.

The complete area of Nellis Air Force Test Range is broken into different Alpha Numeric sections.

The Alpha character indicate the primary focus of that sectional area of test range.
The numeric character is used to help identify the sectional area.

So the issue of is there an Area-51 is moot; Section A-51 is just a block of land and air space within the Nellis Test Range.
