Are your political views the same as your parents?

Just wondering what others had to say on this since it seems that a lot of people just inherit their parents opinions/views/beliefs.

I would personally fall under "mixed bag" for both since I share some of their views but not all, whereas my brother has the same for both items as them.

Umm, no idea really.
I'm not sure what my parents beliefs are, although I'm fairly sure my dad isn't religious, so I share that belief.
Otherwise, no idea, so I didn't inherit anything.

Birth parents? No on both counts
Adopted parents? Pretty similar, but not quite the same.

I'm pretty conservative, just like my adopted parents.

yes
yes
although i am probably more conservative than they (and they have never voted for a democrat in a presidential election)

Political views are a mixed bag.

Nope on religion though. My parents are theists and I am not.

Yes and Yes
My mother got the force fed organized religion from her parents even though they didn't participate so she spared my brother and I from that B.S.
She's a liberal democrat, we agree on most of the key political issues, although, my brother is becoming a dreadful conservative.

mom 'n dad came from the Secret War.

conservative, I try to be.

grew up here in America, hmm.. a little bit liberal, so freedom is not a bad thing, I mean, breath a little for cryin' out loud~

so I say I'm in between, you can't fly without two wings. I'm mid-wing.

ghost recon: advanced warfare -- one shot one kill, Mitchell_!!!!!!, you only get one shot at life! don't mess up!

My parents are dead, so I can't ask them about their political views. I answered "no" to both of your questions BTW.

Damn you for switching the polls from the order in your topic title. I may have voted incorrectly. I did stop the browser quickly and revoted, so I don't know which vote counted.

My parents are mixed politically, so I usually side with one and not the other. Mixed Bag.

My parents are both Christian, and I'm an realistic athiest. Thus, no, I do not share religious views with them.

Opps, didn't even realize I did that 😱

My religious and political views are my own.

Some of them were shaped by my parents, but we disagree on a lot of things.

**EDIT**
My values are quite similar to my parents though.

My mom is a moderate democrat/non-practicing Jew
My dad is a conservative republican/non-practicing Methodist who converted to Judaism

I am a moderate republican/athiest

I tend to follow my dad's religious views, but definatly not politics. My mom was a Republican and my dad is a Democrat, so its kinda hard to blend the two. I tend to fall pretty much in the dead cneter of the political spectrum (I have taken multiple "political identity" tests).

No, mine are my own, and usually seem radically different than views of almost everybody else.

In both areas, my views usually are very antiestablishment, nontraditional.

Let's rally a viable 3rd party!!! Charge! Where's Thomas Jefferson now that we need him?

Life Indomitable !

I shared my dads political views pretty much until I was in my early 20's. I never really knew what my moms views were until I was 30.
