Are you young with bags under your eyes?

If so, WTF is wrong with you?

I'm always aghast when I talk to people who are in their twenties and have nasty bags under their eyes.

How much cocaine did you take when you were in High School?

Um, I worked with PhDs in Mass General and you know what, they were old and had bags but not young with bags.

I think you need to do less coke. :whiste:

I have them slightly. I never was sure why. Even if I get quality sleep night after night, I still have them. I've tried a lot of the weird remedys, but, they do not work.

You should try sleeping upside down.

I'd bitchslap her everyday so she would go to bed and not have bags under her eye. Also a deterrent against coke.

I'm pretty sure I have bags under my eyes, and I'm only just about to be 23. I also have dry eyes, and an old man's back.

My body hates me. I'm sure of it.

I have them too. My girlfriend's eyes are even worse. We both get about 6-7 hours of sleep a night. Not sure what the problem is.

I've had them for a long time. I sleep enough but I must not get quality sleep, or there's something else wrong with me. I get enough exercise too but I still feel tired all the time. Having glasses either hides the bags or amplifies them. One of the downsides to the transition lenses.

None here. My parents would also skip sleep due to work and I never saw them with bags either. Some people are probably more likely to get them than others.

Yeah, I typically get a lot of sleep, but throughout the day I can feel fatigued, like I just have little energy. I think it had an impact on my work ethic and ability to focus during the day throughout college, and my GPA shows.
I had to abuse caffeine to even make it possible to get something out of lecture and the books, and readying for long sapped my brain.

One of the things I am trying, besides trying to cut back on caffeine since long-term caffeine abuse can be pretty damaging (according to some studies), I am attempting to cut back on sugars. Too much blood sugar and insulin can make you fairly slow throughout the day, and high-carb foods have always been my favorite (thankfully exercise and metabolism kept me in good shape). Trying to cut back, and thankfully protein shakes (with unsweetened almond milk) are actually very satisfying as a snack. Trying to expand my diet to be satisfied with better foods, hopefully in no time I can keep dropping my carb intake and start seeing an increase in natural daily energy levels. That's the goal, here's to hoping it will actually happen.

I never really abused caffeine. Tea and cola but I don't drink coffee or energy drinks. I find it has no effect on me. I've cut back on sugar by only drinking diet soda or cutting it out all together. I think my diet is fine. I'm nowhere near overweight.

It's not to the point where I can't pay attention or I'm falling asleep. I just don't feel like I'm operating at peak. I think it must be poor sleep quality. The summer heat doesn't help either. :(
