Are you wasting 2 hours of work?

I waste way more than 2 hours.

Recently though I haven't wasted it; I'm taking online courses and so while at work I do my assignments. So I'm doing work, just not "work".

I'm working on my fourth hour of wasted time for the day...eh i did a little work so make taht three hours our of four on the job

The research was conducted through Dulles, Va.-based AOL's Find a Job site, which gives job seekers access to job postings; through the AOL service, and Salary.com's Salary Wizard, an online salary calculator.

i'm wondering if AOL's participation in this survey may have skewed the results. most regular AOL folk are not the most productive in my book; if they knew how to use the internet without the aid of some third-party GUI, that would be another story.

i definitely waste time at work (though i wouldn't say as much as 2 hours), but i think this is beneficial to me as i cannot sit and work on a problem for 8 hours straight. my "breaks" (on ATOT and other sites) give me a breather, and then i immediately resume back to what i was doing.

That's what all those people in India are there for--making up for our lost productivity so we can spend more time playing golf and surfing the web! Oh wait you're not an executive or a manager? Sorry about your job then.

I waste under 10 minutes a day. I'm so busy I don't have time for sitting around. Doesn't the day go so slow if you don't keep busy and have all that time to waste? I would go home if I was able to waste two hours a day I would just leave at 3:00 LOL.

Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh - after that I sorta space out for an hour.

Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?

Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
