Get this thing working by the time I get back from Starbucks. I've got shit to do.

Moved from Ask an IT Professional as it does not follow the guidelines for that forum:

"Check your egos at the door. This forum is for those who are serious about hardware. ON TOPIC discussions about PC architecture, technology and in-depth looks at what we all know and love. NO FLAME WARS. Keep the discussions truly technical."

Did you try turning it off and then back on?
And if so make sure you try at least 5 times.

Have you rebooted? Did you get the message to leave your computer on I sent you at 4:55 on Friday? Do you have a current backup I reminded you about in the same email?

I consider myself an IT guy but I would not go as far as using the word professional though. :p Yeah I have worked several IT jobs including a hospital but it was fairly easy work. Not like I actually had to design, build and program the hardware that went in, we just bought it and plugged it in and then configured it. Now days with everything moving to cloud it's even easier, the receptionist can do it.

I'm in telecom now, which I suppose is sorta a branch of IT I guess.
