Are you sure X700Pro has 8 pixel pipelines?! Asus site says 4!!!

Hi,

Still looking for a midrange card, and the X700Pro is at a really good price however I am confused about whether it has 4 or 8 pixel pipelines.

Check out Asus website over here: http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=2&l2=8&l3=141&model=370&modelmenu=1. First they say on top of the page that Extreme AX700PRO/TVD has 4 Full Precision Pipelines, but further on that page with the chipset info they mention 8. Please check out that page and tell me what the full truth is cause it's really confusing to me and I don't want to buy something that stinks!

Also, how many vertex shaders does the X700Pro have?!!

Anybody could PLEASE clarify all this cause I am confused me!! Thanks alot!!

X700pro has 8 pixel pipelines. It looks like a mistake.

But why does the Asus site say 4 then, or is the Extreme AX700PRO/TVD some reduced X700Pro or something. Check out there site (see link above) and please tell me what you think. Or is it a typing error however that would surprise me from such a big company. Or are "precision" pipelines something different??? I am confused!!

i had the asus x700le, if one of the cards was to be reduced, it would be that, it had 8 pipes

the differences between x700's are clock speed of the memory and core

On the Newegg page they say "Up to 8 Full Precision DX9 Pipelines". What does that mean?

Also, what about vertex shaders as this seems also important according to game reviews. Why are these important by the way?

All Radeon X700's are 8 pipe cards (do not quote me on this for mobile X700's for laptops)

No matter if its a LE, XT, pro. All 8 pipe cards.

The X300's and X600's have 4 pixel pipelines.

Do not pay attention to the "Up to 8 pipeline" crap. It just means they don't have a clue.
ASUS website has a mistake on it. If you are so uncertain about this ASUS, why don't you try another brand. Gigabyte or something.
