Are you sure the procs in Dell laptops aren't upgradeable?

Why wouldn't you??? For a faster processor of course. I thought laptop cpus where attached to the mobos.

Yes, they are upgradable. My Inspirion 5000e has a nice little spot for the processor under the keyboard and I CAN take it out and upgrade it.
Of course, I haven't used ALL Dell laptops but those that I have used have been upgradable.

It depends how it is designed. I seen some on seperate modules. so upgradability was an option. Give Dell a Call and see.
