Are you supposed to tip the UPS/Fedex guy?

I'm not big on tipping and all, but I know it's common courtesy to tip a food delivery guy or waiter, but what about UPS guy? I never do and i'm wondering if i'm supposed to or is that just something we see rich people do on tv?

I have. Typical scene. A rich guy gets a knock on the door, it's a delivery guy dropping off something and they give him some money.

No, because it's an insult. Most of the drivers earn far more money than the majority of the people they deliver to.

I give my mailman iced tea or lemonade on hot days. Sometimes he stops by after work with a sixer and we chill on the front porch. BTW, my mail always gets delivered and in good shape.

Tipping is a show of appreciation. If you appreciate what they do for you then it is perfectly OK.
I was a mailman and I greatly appreciated all that my customers did for me as they did I. Most of it was done during Christmas but there were plenty that showed gratitude all during the year.

But I was known to run queen bees back out to customers after finishing my route and putting up mailboxes for some customers that had their boxes destryed when others had replaced theirs but they were still good.

So far it appears HappyPup is the only smart one here.:p

My buddy Jim has been a driver for UPS for a while . . . he doesn't expect tips, but he says some of his favorite customers are the ones who give him Christmas cards, cookies, etc., once in a while.

For the last time:

No.
They get paid so they do not need tips. You already paid for the service, which can be expensive.
