are you supposed to cut off the tag off a scarf?

so i bought a scarf from banana republic... and it has this tag that says "banana republic" along with the care information on one end, and the tag is loosely attached onto the scarf by 2 flimsy black strings. am i supposed to cut off this tag?

if its 2 flimsy strings id think you could pull it off....

just make sure to note what its made of and what the care label says in case you spill something on it and need to take it to a drycleaners.

hmm thanks for the advice. i guess anything that's attached with a flimsy black string is supposed to be cut off right? (like the back vent of a blazer/suit or the pockets)
