I never used to be until about a year or so ago.

Take this weekend for example. I was supposed to bring my girlfriend up to school on wednesday, stay overnight in orlando, then drive home thursday. But on the way back to her school on thursday, i changed my mind and decided to just drive up to gainesville for the long weekend.

Just doing random things like this has been so much fun, i kinda wish i had started doing things this way a few years ago. Less planning makes for less hassles and less worrying.

How bout you?

I used to be, but not so much anymore. My girlfriend never wants to do the spontaneuos things I want to do, and I don't want to do them alone, and planning things w/ other people isn't spontaneuos.

Sometimes right as I am going to throw my Top Ramen in the microwave I change my mind and I cook it on the stove instead of the microwave, I think that is pretty spontaneous.

I never use to be, but this customer walked on the lot and said, " we will probably not be making a spontaneous decision today". I said, you are the perfect type of customer, as I do not make spontaneous decisions either. I'd really need to take time to think about whether to sell you a car, or not. I don't know what happened, but I got lost in the emotion of it all, and 45 minutes later, we shook hands and they drove away in a new Taurus. :Q

Yes. I hardly ever make plans. If I do, I have an uncontrollable anxiety about keeping them.

It's not the commitment that bothers me really, just that I let my moods predict my actions for the most part.

Yes, every day I set aside an hour in the afternoon to be spontaneous. Tomorrow I plan to spontaneously blow off work early and hit the golf course.

I think how spontaneous you are depends on your age. The older you get the more responsibilities you have and the harder it is to do silly things on a moments notice. When you're in college blowing off some classes for an inpromptu trip to Cancun is great, but try doing that when you have a real job and you'll discover the meaning of being unemployed.
