My priority list would look a little something like this...
children > donors > non-donors > convicts.

Nope. I am one of those people that can donate blood to anyone. I figure if I can do that, I can probably donate organs to everyone too.

I don't want to lie down in a hospital bed and be murdered by a doctor so they could harvest my organs to give to someone more "deserving" or for a profit.

I've also told family many times I don't give them permission to give anything away in case I turn into a vegetable or get into an accident.

But the retardicans care about life! It says so in their manifesto...well, unless you're poor, black, muslim, or terminally ill.

I think you might have convinced me to be Republican. I think you forgot unborn children of people who were too lazy to use condoms or too poor to use birth control though(democrats).

Yes of course. To be honest I don't really understand why anyone would choose not to be one.

republicans would probably just vote no and not donate. dems would vote yes, when in actuality they are not donors either. do as i say, not as I do...

if you sign up to be an organ donor they pull the plug on you the first time you check into a hospital. why should they save you when they could chop you up and help 20 people. also the doctors become heroes, the hospital makes money and students learn from your donation. makes sense right?

It's not the hospitals decision to pull the plug on someone...

yes but the hospital can put a lot of pressure on a family and misrepresent your condition, or scare them with the possibility of huge care costs, or outright be wrong. i strongly advise against organ donation, unless you have a suicide wish

You realize YOU HAVE TO BE BRAIN DEAD. How do you misrepresent a flat line on a EEG. Until you die mentally, the hospital cannot touch your organs.

Yep. It's either waste a ton of money by keeping you alive, and not seeing a dollar; or make a ton of money by killing you and giving your organ to someone more deserving.

Hospitals are businesses like anywhere else. They are not out to help you. I am sure if I personally needed a kidney, my status in society would ensure me that I'd be so low on the list that it would just be a formality to be on that list.
