The only thing on tv anymore is highly paid and wealthy celebrities and news people, telling us about their little problems. Watching someone like Matt or Katie Couric report on social security, when she pulls down over 2 mill a year, is hard to swallow. They'll never use social security, or need it. Then theres Oprah, The Osbornes and Tom Cruise whining about the problems in society. Gets pretty sickening.

They report the news WELL. Why shouldn't they be paid handsomely?

I'd much rather hear Brian Williams report the news than some Joe Sixpack who can't pronounce "Falluja" properly.

I hate paris hilton. I'd like to cut up her face with some broken glass.

In other news, the female BBc news presents are mostly hot.

She pulls down WAAAAAY more than 2 mil a year. Like 6 times that amount.

But I agree with you. The other thing that ticks me off is when they beg for money for charity when it would be much easier to just write a check for it. They make it seem like the American people are stingy with donations, when $500 is a hell of a lot bigger pill to swallow for Joe Sixpack than for them. I'm sure many of them donate a lot of money for charity, but there seem to be more whiners than doers.

You mean like the state of education?

Most of these people aren't on TV because they are rich, they are rich because they are on TV.

I don't watch TV for many reasons, this being one of them. If only I could convince my wife and kids that it was all garbage.

We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

If you watch television you're almost guaranteed to hear some stupid news about a celebrity. I could care less about who's marrying who or what they wore to the a$$hat awards.

Another thing I can't stand is my local news. I'll be watching something and during the commercial break: "Breaking News, Only on WBTV" and then it'll go to the next commercial..WTF? Or the preview to the 11 o'clock news: "Serial Killer and a$$ rapist escapes from maximum security prison, We'll tell you where he was last spotted at eleven only on WA$$HATTV."

This is from my local Fox News, this guy has came in and did the news drunk several times: Weatherman Vid
