Are you serious?

Well I'm glad that you made this easy to search for in the future by having absolutely nothing that relates to the article in the topic or summary.

Not a problem. When I think race unity I think "Are you serious?"

NanoStuff... Or how about "Are you serious?" to how does this go on for so long and this day and age and just now gets "fixed"

Are you serious NanoStuff!?

😕

How about "Segregation at GA prom finally ends"?

"...Finally ends"

After so many years....

I was saying that it's a damn shame that it is even something to talk about now.
It should've been fixed many many years ago.

"...Finally ends"

Should it have even taken this long? Could it even legally exist? No one gave a f_ck?

But... oh wait "Are you serious?" is the center of attention

Edit-

"The school abandoned its practice of naming separate white and black homecoming queens. Instead, a mixed-race student was named the county?s first solo homecoming queen."

Wow

If the kids didn't have a problem with it before, I don't see what's wrong with it. I don't believe in integration for the sake of integration, but rather for equality. Naturally, they shouldn't bar someone from going to either one if they want to.

Segregation by nature causes each group to put themselves above the other. Black Panthers, KKK, take your pick of the historical examples. Those who are not exposed to things will think that they are superior to said things until proven otherwise.

BFD, I'm glad this school is doing it.

I grew up in the south and even though we had a "integregated" prom and other events, the blacks never showed up to ours and they had their own anyway.

Even 25 years later, they never come to the reunions even after a lot of effort is spent trying to locate as many as possible.

My point is, I don't think their integrated prom is going to be a huge success unless their school is really different from ours.

That is completely true, but I don't think you should force integration when all parties are satisfied with the situation.
