I also have probably much thicker proportions than you too :) I got a pretty big barrel chest and my legs are really just all meat. I can't use 3 hands to encircle the widest part of my calf for example. Years of playing sports like soccer, swimming, baseball, football, and running gave me really massive legs for my size.

No worries man, was not calling you fat, was just trying to imagine that much weight on my frame. D:

I don't remember if I ever responded but according to this chart I'm 15lbs over the high side. I'm 6'2" and 215ish. Man I never realized I was fat...

No.

I'm "low" based on that chart.

Can i add 15lbs. of muscle to be close to"target"?
I'd guess it's possible? I'm scrawny.

I'm 6' 2" and feel overweight at the target 175 lbs. I'm a pretty small-framed guy though, especially for my height. I've felt really good (energy-wise) when I've weighed around 145 lbs. I haven't weighed myself real recently, but I think I'm ~160 currently.

I'm 6'2" and about 177, it's a pretty good place. Could lose ten pounds and probably look/feel a bit better, but I wouldn't go lower than that.

big story that was plastered all over the news papers and CNN last month said being moderately overweight poses no health risk. According to that retarded chart I'm moderately overweight, so that means I'm right where I should be.

Yeah and Foxnews had an article that said being overweight or slightly obese gave you a 6% chance of living longer.

I wouldn't take that bet though. People are generally fat because they don't eat well and they don't exercise. Neither of those are good things.

By their medical definition I'm overweight.

I'm 5'10" at 180 lbs.

Gah, I should start getting back in shape to 165 for the upcoming wedidng.

Hmm, just looked at the chart. According to it I am 13 pounds over weight. In the Marine Corps, they give me up to 203lbs at 6' before being taped for body fat. I am no where close to fat, just have a bit of muscle.

That scale is odd. It underweighs men, and overweighs women. Target for a 5'6" woman is 140 pounds. That's carrying a decent amount of chub for most women.

Target for a 6' man is 167 pounds. That allows zero room for anything short of bones and gristle. I was 6' and 160-165 pounds for several years. I looked almost emaciated. At 175 pounds I can actually have a little muscle in my arms & chest and not look like a twig.
