1: is all movies in NetFlix rated R and under? i want netflix for the living room for family and i want to make sure that netflix suits for family.

2: does it have foreign movies like chinese movies with sub and dub? like kung fu.

3: can i watch movies on netflix on two different devices at the same time? i have a ps3 in the room and roku in the living room.

1. No, threre is some unrated stuff that has nudity and extreme violence. There are parental controls, however, so you can set it to not include things above PG-13 or G or whatever. Family safe as long as you set that up.

2. Yes, there are some foreign films included dubbed and (I think) subbed. I've only seen a few Kung-Fu ones, like Ip Man 1 and 2. You can check out their selection before you subscribe or through free trial.

3. Yes. I've tried 2 devices at once before, but you can't do 2 streams on the same computer (not that you would want to, but just letting you know).

"Once you have an active Netflix membership, you can have six (6) devices registered to your account at any given time, and you may stream up to two (2) movies or TV shows at the same time by default. There is also an option to upgrade to four (4) streams at the same time from the Your Account page, although this plan is not available in Mexico at this time."

do you mean it has hardcore porno? or just softcore stuff that can be the most?

so as default.... i can stream on my ps3 and roku at the same time? but if i want to stream on pc which will be 3 stream at the same time, i must pay extra fee to do so?

ive been thinking about netflix for a long time but wanting to save the trial for a good time to use it.

i just want r rated and down as long as its no nudity. violence is not a thing. i have cousins and relatives that come around and i dont want them to surf around and stream something with nudity or even hardcore porn.

Take one month free trial and decide for yourself.
That.

But, anyway:

1. Netflix doesn't add any censorship, so if they get an artsy European movie, or some documentary, with actual sex, there might be occasional bumping to watch (gasp). There's also plenty of nudity about, with a bunch of craptastic artsy movies you'd traditionally expect on Cinemax (so bad it's not worth it to see that actress you like naked ;)). The controls must work, because I can't imagine them keeping family subscribers, otherwise.

But, also keep in mind that what you get on the front page is based on what you're watched, what you've rated, and how you've answered their surveys. So, aside from new shows being promoted, you will have a radically different selection than someone else.

2. There's Kung Pow :p. Anyway, yes, but you never know if you're going to get into a sub or dub. Sometimes, when people bitch enough about bad dubs, they'll swap them with subs, though, which is cool.

3. Yes.

dont seems safe. does the parental control work like it should? can i custom filter with movies with just nudity out? regardless of rating.

another question, can i use the trial for my own personal movie time? then after the trial is over i deactivate it and then open a whole new account?

i dont like the idea of movies showing on the front page relates to what i have watched.

trial = for my self

subscription = everyone

can i do that? or only 1 account per household?

There are tons of foreign movies on Netflix. Action, drama, everything. The library wasn't so good in this regard at first (two years ago), but it kept growing and is now pretty decent.

You can open multiple accounts for one household, just make sure you use different email addresses and different credit cards.

Multiple Netflix logins on one account (for the purpose of 'recently watched', recommendation, etc.) is one of the most requested features of Netflix. Hopefully they'll have it one day.

My only complaint is that if you block stuff to make it family-friendly (like R-rated movies), it also blocks unrated stuff like documentaries :p

Just show your kids that whatever you watch shows up in viewer history and there's no way to remove it. Then they won't go watching the bad stuff while you're away. ;)
