Are you more of a Bourbon Democrat or a Hamiltonian?

I would've fit right in with the Bourbon Democrats who dominated the Democratic Party before WJ Bryan, and it's a shame that Wilson permanently ruined the Party of Van Buren. The Party of Van Buren stood for hard money, low taxes/low spending, no regulations, private property, States' rights (civil liberties), and non-foreign interventionism. In contrast, the Hamiltonian Federalists (succeeded by the Henry Clay Whigs, and now the modern GOP) stood/stand for high taxes, imperialism, and for taking away civil liberties. They were/are pro-welfare, pro-business, pro-industry, anti-agrarian, pro-regulation, pro-empire building, pro-centralist, pro-national debt/anti-austerity, pro-public roads, pro-paper money, and anti-alcohol.

I was asking because some people would like parts of both of them and I was wondering what parts of each everyone liked. There is really nothing I like about the Federalists/Whigs/Republicans since they were and are composed mainly of fuckheaded fascists.

I think it's time to...

...RESTORE THE PARTY OF VAN BUREN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

Basil Hayden's for sipping, Knob Creek for a good burn, Old Forester for shots/mixing (although it's also suitable for sipping).

So thinks like the growth of industry and roads that are usable by everyone is a bad thing?
If you actually used toll roads you would know why they suck.
Taxes and spending levels also don't really matter much to a country as long as they are in balance... well and not cripplingly high.

And no regulations... have fun with your polluted drinking water, lead covered everything, failure prone, lawless, etc... society.
Some regulations really are needed.

Tolls do suck, but so do taxes paying for them. Most State taxes are regressive anyway. In addition, the owners of the roads likely wouldn't have tolls anyway. They'd just bill the businesses who used their property or something like that. Maybe they'd get their money from advertisements, who the hell knows. One thing is certain, however, and that's the fact that the market regulates itself.

Funny, I would think anarchist420 would blame Teddy Roosevelt more than Wilson. But the ideas of Van Buren did not fit a more modern America a hundred years ago, and there is simply no resurrection for dead ideas.

Do you any more foolish questions anarchist420? But its really my mistake, in feeding a troll.

May I suggest anarchist420, you should quit posting on this forum and run for public office. As you found a new aristocratic political party. If you vote for yourself you might get one vote for your candidacy.

I don't have the money to run for office. Do you honestly expect me to take $192k in stolen U.S. tax payer monies when I could quite possibly make money some other way?

That's actually a good point, but Wilson was more instrumental in building the NWO. TJR was a huge fuckass though, since he probably ordered the black flag destruction of the Maine and the deaths of all of those sailors.

So, like usual, you spout out shit and don't really have a solution. Get a job, loser.

I once had an altercation with the Van Buren Boys but I flashed the 8 sign and everything was cool.

It would be easier for you to vote, support, and be active in the Libertarian Party than try to get the modern Democratic Party to become "the party of Van Buren".

The LP sucks ass.

Poor ole anarchist420, as he has run through the gamut of all existing US parties and has basically said they all suck.

But there is still a US political party you have not mentioned, there is always the long dead KNOW NOTHING PARTY. Sounds like to me, you would be a prefect fit for their ideals.

As we can also ask, is the ararchist420 fantasy based on the fantasy that he was born 250 years too late.

And that the anarchist420 fantasy is that if he had he born in 1756, his brilliance would have somehow convinced all our founding fathers that they had it all wrong.
