Are you miserable or nice when out in public?

Is it me because it seems most people today are miserable. No one smiles anymore. I was just at CVS and the counter guy didn't smile at anyone. He looked miserable!

Anyone here miserable when out in public? Do you hate people? Do you hate your life? Your job? If you're a nice person in public and are always smiling and in a positive mood does it piss you off when someone is rude to you?

teh t3rr0ristorz!!! they're everywhere!

That's what makes me miserable.

Edit: seriously though, sedintary lifestyles and poor diet = 🙁

I'm nice. I even quit flipping the bird to people that cut me off in traffic etc, because it's fvcking useless to road rage.

But yeah I hold doors for people, say thanks a lot (maybe too much), and try to be a nice friendly stranger. Call it a Canadian thing! 😛

I'm nice and friendly in public. Most other people seem to be, too, but that may also be because the miserable ones aren't the ones who are going to say, 'hi' or anything like that.

If someone's rude to me, I'm more surprised than anything else. It's not something that happens often.

lol, that's because you don't live on the East coast. I think East Coast people (especially North East) can be very rude people. New York anyone? Maybe it's because the East Coast way of life is very high paced?

In a way... we have too much to get done and too little time. New York is the perfect example of Darwinism.

I mix between the two. I am always nice/polite when asking a shop assistant something and will hold doors for people etc. But would quite happily tell someone who walked into me or cut me up in traffic to f**k off.

I too don't fall strictly in one or the other...depends on how my day's going, where I am, etc. Sometimes I act really serious and introverted, the rest of the time I'm smiling and singing/whistling, etc.
