Wow...they just dont quit do they? I mean for God's sake, trying to run the scam on me over a crib and dresser... Sheesh...used to be you only had to worry about the scammers when you were selling electronics.

Hi There, I wish to know if your( Table/Dresser/Crib )is still avaialble for sale, and also want to let you know that l am interested in buying it, I am ok with the Asking Price of it and will like to see some
avaialble pictures of the it so as to know the Present Condition.
Your money will be issued out to you in a Money Order While l will take care of the Shipping Expenses and a strong
arrangement for the shipment will be made with my freight company.
Do mail me the pictures as l have said and also the Payment Info
such as your,
Full Name,
Contact Address,
Cell and Home #
Fax,..................... So that l will have to work on the payment and make sure l have it
sent out asap,
Thanks as l awaits your favourable response.

So for those of us that don't do the Craigslist/eBay thing, what exactly is the scam?

They send you a fake check with too much on it. They ask for a refund from you. After you sent them the refund, you find out from your bank that the check is fake.

Actually, you should do that. Don't forget to indicate some ungodly high customs value on the form so they'll pay a pretty penny in duties.

I was listening to a radio talk show (legal advice) the other day, and this lady said she was renting a house out and was contacted by somebody out of the country. He said he was sending his son to college in the US, and he wanted this landlord to help him get his son set up. Of course he sent her a western union money order that turned out to be fake, and she accepted it and then forwarded this guy some money from her account and got stuck with the bill. I swear, how many times are people going to fall for these scams before they wise up.......:Q

I try to stay off craigslist as much as possible. That site has the lowest of the lowest people on there (not just talking about the scammers either). Dealing the kind of people on that site is more hassle and frustration than it's worth.
