are you honest when telling someone what you think about them?

When someone asks for your honest opinion on them, do you sugar coat it and leave the nasty bits about them out, or are you one of those wonderfully honest people and let it rip?

i sugar-coat, though i'm working on it

edit: i sugar coat with people in person, because i don't like getting into conflicts. if i talk to you online, and you ask my opinion, you can be sure you'll get an honest one

In terms of honest oppinions I usually give whatever will help the person.. so I use my judgement for that.

i think it would be better to tell them what you really think. but of course those not so nice things could be said in a more tactful manner. that makes it easier for him or her to realise the fault in him or her and not be insulted instead.
