Are you guys used to hang overs?

I'll be honest, the main reason I don't drink is because when I have drunk in the past I've gotten so drunk that the next day I was in pain (headache, stomach ache, just feeling lousy). On Friday night I went out with a friend and got pretty drunk. Next day I had to work and also had a nasty hang over.

Are you guys used to it? Being drunk is kinda fun.

I don't get them, but I try to stick to a hard liquor and I always stay with one type of drink for the night. Mixing drinks is a sure way to feel crappy the next day.

I ususaly don't get anything more than a little mental fog for 30 minutes and maybe a slight headache to accompany it. Sleep and water is your friend.
The trick is if you drink a lot, drink enough water before you go to bed that you'll have to get up in the night to piss, and you can drink more water then.

I rarely get them because I rarely drink. (And when I do, I try to remember to drink a lot of water before going to sleep.)

Oh yeah. LOL. Since dehydration is the cause of hangovers I guess water is a pretty darn good suggestion.

I thought about this this afternoon. Had a hangover this morning, then had to get up and get stuck in 2 hrs of traffic to get to work. Then had to deal with customers complaints and problems all day.

I don't really get hangovers. Rarely, and even then they last for a couple of hours only. I'm russian, guess i've got hangover-resistant genetics

I have only once gotten a serious hangover, and this was after 40 drinks in one night, so I was still so plastered during the hangover that I didn't care.

The secret? Make sure you drink plenty of other fluids besides alchohol. Citrus drinks (lemonade/OJ/grapefruit juice) especially. Most of the hangover effects are from dehydration.

Also, sometimes a lot of beer will make me a bit queasy - hard liquor generally won't, at least not for anywhere near the same amount of alchohol. Mixed drinks are your best bet.

I'll never get used to them. I've had one all day. Sore muscles, headache, weak at the knees, general lousiness. Haven't seen sunlight all day. *shudder*

That was my first time drinking in about 3 or 4 weeks though... so I was out of shape.

I drank to get drunk from 18-24. After that, the disadvantages outweighed the benefits. I got so sick of feeling like crap afterwards, that it's not worth it. I rarely drink now, but am not afraid to get a buzz going at a party. But I don't remember the last time I was drunk was. Guess I'm getting old.

People who don't get hangovers aren't doing it right. Usually lightweights who don't need much alcohol to get drunk. More power to them.

I don't get hangovers often, and I average 3/4 of a pint of whiskey,
