I don't know what it is, but I can't leave anything alone. I have been this way all my life, I get something and I have to hot rod it somehow. I had extreme RC cars, tricked out bicycles, motorcycles etc. I've had a hot rod camaro, a full blown show/race CRX, and now a 350hp Eclipse. Now I finally quit playing with cars (for the time being) b/c I am wasting all my money on comps! I am fixing to start cutting up a case to see how much I can hot rod a little Duron processor. Just wondering if you guys are like me (you desire to hot rod all kinds of things), or do you just stick to fixing up your computers?

Hoping to get 1GHz out of my 750Mhz Duron 🙂
 
I wish I had the knowledge to mess with cars....I guess I could learn the same way I did with computers, take one apart when I'm bored 😉. Yeah I actually get to the point where I can't rest untill I have done something new to my computer. I've started with case mods now which are cheaper (somewhat) and take much longer than just slappin in some new RAM so I guess that's good. My first victim....I mean subject should be arriving tomorrow, the good old Enlight 7237.

Me thinks we may indeed have something in common .............
First bicycles, then cars, then motorcycles, then trucks and cars and ............ anything else w/nuts and bolts, washers, dryers, toasters, it's damn endless .............. !
This is for sure a contageous illness (kinda) ........?
Lately I decided to see what I've been missing in geekdom, ......... sure beats those late nights by myself in the garage (and it's so much cleaner) and is so ever changing that it will probably take a very long time to get bored,........???

You have my deepest sympathy,...? empathy....? Whatever!!!!




 
Count me in I started with bikes then cars, r/c cars,motorcycles and now anything is fair game computers mostly but anything mechanical or electrical is in danger of being hot roded to it limits if I get my hands on it.
