As the title suggests, are you going to get a PS4 or Xbox ONE on launch day. If so which one and why? If not what will it take you to convince you to buy one in the future.

Personally I won't be getting either at launch simply because funds are tight at the moment, and I don't believe there will be enough compelling software or features to warrant a purchase right away. Of course it helps that I already have all the the current gen systems as well as a PC.

I will be keeping a close eye on games for both of the new systems, and likely will pick both up at some point next year. Probably PS4 early on and Xbox ONE around the holidays, but it's wait and see at this point.

Still not sure. I have a ps4 pre order but its launch titles are so absolutely horrendous I wouldn't play it much anyway.

I was actually considering a PS4, but then Driveclub, and Watch Dogs (which is going to be on PC anyway) got delayed. Killzone looks decent, and Knack will probably be OK, but neither are system sellers for me.

I've still got the PS4 on pre-order. Though seems like the magic has vanished for both sides.

Absolutely not. Within a year, I'll probably own at least one, and maybe both (ignoring the Wii U because I'm part of everybody). But there's nothing that appeals to me at launch.

You know you want to play Wheel of Fortune, Spongebob, Need for Speed and Call of Duty @ 1080p!

Both, to scalp.
Then in the new year, once the internet has decided which is better, I'll pick only one up.

I've still got a huge list of 'to be played.' Just ridiculous. I'm planning to get a PS4 sometime late next year. So Microsoft has that long to change my mind.

I will be waiting until early next year, possibly January for my birthday to grab one. I was pretty dead set on starting with the XB1, but now I am really not sure which way I will go to start out the generation.

Eventually I'll get the Wii U (always bought Nintendo at launch before this cycle). I thought I'd get a PS4 before XBOX One but Killer Instinct may change that. I'm still kinda mad that I didn't get nearly the mileage out of the PS3 as I did the PS2. Where's The Last Guardian?! In seven years I still don't have a single new Japan Studio game from Team Ico.

If it is anything like the Xbox, ps2,3,360 it is going to be really weak hardware at launch anyway--high failure rates I mean.

I am mildy inclined to finally get a ps3 for some exclusives I missed. The launch titles on ps4 seem to in. Many cases be on ps3 anyway and not look THAT much better that I would really care once playing was going.

I have taken the three game rule approach. Three strong games I am interested in.

The Wii U satisfies my three game rule (New Super Mario Bros U, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Zombi U however barely). Definitely not obtained at launch though.

I would definitely be more inclined for a Wii U now, with Windwaker HD and Pikmin 3.

Xbox One has Dead Rising 3 for me, but that is a barely wanted game. PS4 has nothing to offer for me.

Most of the console game offerings have PC game outlets. There are exceptions. I obtained the Wii U version of Rayman Legends. That game made some good usage of the gamepad. To boot, this game has the most local multiplayer person support (five players).

I have a PS4 on order but I might go ahead and sell it once it arrives. All the launch games look really lackluster since the only ones wanted got delayed.

Forza 5 looks amazing and I'd really love to play it but outside of that, I really have 0 interest in having an Xbox One right now especially with a Kinect 2.0.

Nope cancelled my amazon preorder for launch version. I will buy it once Watch Dogs and The Division come out.

I'm getting a ps4. Going to swing by target and pick up 2 games and getting one for free. Although none of the consoles really have any good launch titles.

I could sell it but it would not really warrant a good return. I will eventually get one if I don't want to keep it. But now I'm leaning towards keeping it so i can play killzone and ghosts.

I'm pretty sure knack will be on psn plus free next year or so.

ps4 and xbox1.

not sure if i'm keeping a ps4 or not.

xbox1 i'm definitely getting killer instinct (along with every accessory possible for that game) and crimson dragon. on the fence with dead rising 3 and possibly ghosts just because it's a launch cod game and i had so much fun with cod2 (even though cod2 seems to be a better game).

I'll get one shortly after launch. I want to hear the reviews on both and then make a decision. Right now I'm leaning towards PS4 and a late Nov./Dec. purchase.

I'm still on the fence of which I want first. Ultimately I see myself getting both eventually, but will wait until next spring at the earliest before jumping on either.
