Are you getting a Macbook pro retina for christmas?

No.

I'm waiting to see what 2014 has to offer. I'd prefer something closer in weight to the Airs, but with Retina and good viewing angles. At this point, I don't really care about performance anymore for my laptops. Performance-wise, as long as it has a Core iX or better, SSD, and 8 GB RAM, I'm satisfied.

I am probably going to get one right after Christmas. I have been debating the 15" or the 13" with upgraded RAM. The base model 15" should serve all my needs, but it is a tad big.

Thought about it, but nope. I want a Retina Macbook Air, so I'm going to wait for that. It's just a matter of time! 🙂

Nope, rocking a 13" rMBP for a year now and have no need to upgrade until a we get a significant graphics performance boost. And in my fantasies, TouchID. I will buy immediately if that is available.

Already have one from last January 🙂

I *may* decide to get an iMac or if I'm feeling really ambitious a Mac Pro after the new year.

Nope. My 2011 MBP is still chugging along just fine and does what I need it to do. Only thing I wish I had was USB 3 and of course retina. I'm waiting until something else big comes along to get me to upgrade.

No.

Thinking about getting a tablet. Family members have an ipad 4. Don't like it. Probably see if I can get a Win 8 baytrail tablet for around $300.

I don't get anything for Christmas, but thinking about picking one up on Black Friday 😉

I just bought my MBA last BF though lol. I really don't *need* to upgrade, just tempting to do it...

I just ordered a SSD for my 2011 MBP. I think that will give me enough life left for a couple more years at least. I would love a retina version, but I can certainly live without it.

I just replaced my old Mac with a Windows 8 laptop so I'm not going to be in for this one... Maybe next year if I can get some certs and a new job

I'm still debating whether to get either the 15" MBP Retina, or to wait until 2014 for a more advanced version to be announced. Either way, my late-2010 MacBook Pro is still suiting me well.
